Suite of 23 hand-colored lithographs on twelve plates by Henry Monnier satirizing the deadly sins; consisting of 12 numbered plates (plates 1-11 each with two captioned vignettes and plate 12 with one captioned vignette). Printed by Delpech.
Two additional lithographs by Monnier ("Un tuteur" and "Paris/Londres") are included here; according to Aristide Marie, these two supplemental unnumbered plates were issued with Les péchés capitaux and were evidently intended to complete the set.
