"The printing of this edition of the Book of Common Prayer on vellum was finished on the Thirty-first day of January, MDCCCXCIV at the De Vinne press in the city of New York. The plan of symbolism and method of decoration were arranged by Mr. Daniel Berkeley Updike: the preparatory studies of plants were made by Mr. William Wells Bosworth: the designs for the borders and cover by Mr. Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue, and the final drawings for reproduction by Mr. Joseph Eliot Hill"--colophon.
Title and text printed inside floral borders.
Imprint on added title-page reads: Printed for the convention.
On first fly-leaf is an inscription of presentation from members of the Standard Prayer-Book Convention in Baltimore to Mr. J. Pierpont Morgan with the autograph signatures of John Williams, Bishop of Connecticut, Henry Benjamin Whipple, Bishop of Minnesota, Wm. Croswell Doane, Bishop of Albany, Henry Codman Potter, Bishop of New York, and William Ford Nichols, Asst. Bishop of California.
On verso of added t.p. verso the note of Certification " ... that this volume is a copy, etc." is signed in autograph by Wm. Croswell Doane, William Stevens Perry, Henry Codman Potter, W. R. Huntington, John Steinfort Kedney, Samuel Hart, J. Laid in: 2 broadsides containing typographical corrections, one signed in the autograph of Samuel Hart, and a folder entitled "On the decorations of the limited edition of the Standard Prayer Book of MDCCCXCII." An autograph letter signed from Samuel Hart regarding the corrections dated February 23, 1905, and a typed letter signed William Corswell Doane dated Oct. 30, 1894 presenting this copy to Morgan are now ARC 1196.
