Provenance note pasted inside box cover: "These books were given by Mrs. Estridge to Mrs. de Crespigny, 2nd wife of Sir Joseph Whatley, in 1814. Mrs. Estridge was sister to Sir Joseph. They came into possession of Mrs. Ireby Fisher, great-grand-daughter of Sir Joseph, and were given by her to Captain F. C.
