A miniature chained library comprising seven volumes on heraldry topics housed in and chained to partitioned shelves below a wooden reading desk which telescopes up from a protective tubular stand; includes metal tweezers for removing books from shelves.
Wooden desk extends 45 mm above top of the stand.

Volumes bound by Roger Powell in full morocco, various colors, gilt-tooled on front covers. Housed in wooden desk with gilt-ruled, full black morocco surface; entire miniature library itself is encased by a gilt-tooled full blue moroocco tube, with the binders' stamps of both Roger Powell and Peter Waters on bottom; issued in a small wooden crate bearing Powell's mailing label from the Slade, Froxfield, his workshop.
