Box contains two scenic cards (6.3 x 8.3 cm) and 45 small hand-colored lithograph pieces of trees, bridges, houses, etc. to change the scenes in the cards which have cut out slits to contain the pieces.
Cards bordered in gold deco paper as box.
Top of box borded in gilt with illustrations of 3 women in a scenic background with title for pieces below. One woman is sitting at an easel painting a landscaping. A little girl presumably playing with Le petit compositeur de paysage with her possible governance.
Illegible signature below illustration on lid.
Toy probably accompanied by a booklet with instructions and story.
Housed in 1/4 folding box.
