Two pieces of linen strip, joined, to make a long continuous panorama of 26 pictures with the alphabet, A-Z, printed in yellow, blue, and black, glazed, which winds up into wooden barrel by turning a metal crank.
E for elephant is labelled Jumbo, velocipede stands for V, and Y for yacht is named Mayflower.
