24 etchings of 12 images from Punch and Judy on facing plates, in colored and uncolored states. Also two uncolored leaves, one showing a puppet theater and the puppeter from the back, and another showing a crowd in front of a show (Bruton identifies this as a proof etching washing with India ink as instruction for the acquatinter. At end: 3 leaves of newspaper clippings tracing the history of Chinese productions of this play.

A handwritten note by W.W. Bruton notes that the only other large-paper copy of these proofs that he has seen are in Mrs. Cruickshank's bequest to the South Kensington Museum (i.e. the Victoria and Albert).
