16th-century Belgian (Louvain) panel-stamped calf, 'Spes' panel signed I.P. for Jacob Pandelaert, active 1520-1555 (see Weale, pt. 2, no. 434; Murray, Cat. of French books, v. 1, no. 159; Fogelmark, Flemish and Related Panel-Stamped Bindings, 157-69); this panel includes the word "Charitas" at the bottom right corner, a slightly different panel than is found on PML 19370. Colored endbands. Manuscript waste endleaves.
