"In this edition of Riquet à la houppe the first version is by Ch. Perrault and the second, taken from a manuscript in the Mazarine Library, Paris, is by an unknown author of the XVIIth century"-- p. [49] The latter version is by Catherine Bernard. Cf. Dict. des lettres françaises.
"The two illustrations were designed and engraved on the wood by Lucien Pissarro. The ornaments and initial letters were designed by L. Pissarro & engraved by E. Pissarro. The book has been printed by them at their Eragny Press, The Brook, Hammersmith, & finished in April, 1907."--p. [49].
