Editions through 1594 at least were compiled by Frank Adams.
In this edition, the last paragraph (leaf D8v) contains an account of the trial of Mary, Queen of Scots, 19th of October 1585 and her execution on the first of August 1587.
Signatures: A-D⁸, bound at the top edge.
PML copy includes chalked and sized pieces of board the size of the book's leaves, apparently intended to offer a firm surface upon which to write, 4 leaves stab-sewn in after quire A. Not included in pagination or signatures.

Binding: 
Contemporary blind-tooled sheepskin over thin wooden boards (scaleboards), with top edge envelope flap. The English arms tooled on front cover. 2 clasps, missing.

Several contemporary notations inscribed on the writing tablets.
