Inserted are two sheets of changes and additions in ms. probably written by Ford but supposed, earlier, to be in Swift's own hand. A note in the vol. states that Sir Walter Scott who edited his works, was satisfied that the notes were by Swift.

Formerly in the possession of John Kearney, Bishop of Ossory with his autograph on the t.p. & purchased at his sale by Mr. James Roche who sold it to Robert Morritt who gave it to his brother J.W. Morritt in 1820; With ms. corrections of words and phrases, in the margins, in the autograph of Charles Ford. These changes were to be used for a late ed. of the work, probably the 5th ed.
