An ed. of the same day and year was printed for Jean Petit and has his mark on verso of last leaf--(Brunet II, 1636). This may have been printed by Le Noir for Petit--(Cf. Murray, Cat. ... French books, I, no. 198).

The editor, Pierre Desrey de Troyes, in his Prologue dated 1499 states his work is in part translated from the "Speculum historiale" (Book XXVI, Chapter 96 and following) of Vincent de Beauvais.
This is the ed. translated into English by Robert Copland and printed by Wynkyn de Worde in 1512 (unique copy in British Museum).
