Fragment consisting of sheets belonging to the section "Ballads from the Minstrelsey of the Scottish Border" as printed at the end of the first edition-2d impression (large and thick paper) of "The lay" comprising "Notes" (p. clxv-clxviii) for "The grey brother" and "Thomas the rhymer" and an "Appendix" (misnumbered but complete) with a running-title "Ballads and songs."
