The first volume (tome 1. [1. ptie.]) was pub. in 1708, title-page in French. It contained 80 copper-plates, engraved by J. Kip from drawings by Leonard Knyff. The plates in the second volume (tome 1, 2. ptie.) with a few exceptions, were both drawn and engraved by Kip, hence the work is often known by his name. The 3rd and 4th volume (tome 2 and 3) are by different artists. The "Atlas de l'Angleterre," [by G. Valck and P. Schenck] included in tome 3, has special t.-p.: Atlas anglois, ou Description generale de l'Angleterre ... Avec les genealogies des plus illustres familles, & les archevêches & évêches." [The genealogies are wanting]. The Supplement has no t.-p.
