Size of page 5 1/4 x 7 3/4 in. = 135 x 188 mm. Headlines throughout, naming each book; the leaves, not the pages are numbered; smaller numerals used for pagination in the 5th book. Errors in pagination: f. 20 is numbered 17, 26 (21), 31 (24), 79 (80), 85 (86) & 87 (88); ff. 1, 22, 45 & 68 unnumbered.
The first issue of this ed. differs in having a more elaborate woodcut border and difference in imprint on t.p.; and a leaf of errata at the end, headed "Correct, I beseech you gentle readers, these faults escaped in the printing".
Numerous errors in paging: leaves 20, 26, 31, 79, 85, and 87 misprinted 17, 21, 24, 80, 86, and 88 respectively.
Title within ornamental border with "IHS" at top. Another edition of the same year (STC 6244) is with royal coat of arms at top.
