The collation given by L. E. Kastner in his edition of Drummond's Poetical works, 1913 (v. 1, p. lxxxvx-lxxxviii) lists only one portrait and that as "Inserted." The frontispiece in the L.C. copy is a large portrait, with arms below, and inscription: William Drummond of Hawthornden. born 1585. Dyed J649. The second portrait, preceding the life, is small, with name and dates around the oval, the dates written J585 and J649.
