The title does not appear on covers or as running title, which is "Master Humphrey's Clock", nor does it appear as a heading in nos. 5, 6, 7, 9.
Nos. 46-88 (Feb. 13 to Nov. 27, 1841) contain the first printing of Barnaby Rudge, in the original parts, with illus. by G. Cattermole & H.K. Brown. Title appears as subtitle on covers and as running title in the numbers.
Issued in 88 weekly numbers from April 4, 1840, to Nov. 27, 1841, in numbered and dated wrappers and with advertising matter. First and last leaves of each gathering serve as wrappers.
