Contains the same dedicatory letter by Aldus Manutius to Marinus Sannutus, but with the error in the title corrected i.e. 'Benedicti filio' (sig. A1 verso), and at the end of Catullus the letter of Hieronymus Avantius to Marino Sanudo with a series of emendations concerning the text of Lucretius, as in the Aldine edition.
A re-impression of the undated editions printed in Lyons, which were counterfeits of the Aldine 1502 edition: see Renouard.
Copied ultimately from the 1502 Aldine edition, but no longer a simple counterfeit in appearance; see Shaw.
