First edition of a popular English cautionary work for young children, attributed to Elizabeth Turner. It was reprinted numerous times in England and America during the 19th century. Thirty full-page engravings are facing the thirty-two corresponding verses, I-XXXII. Nos. XXVI and XXVII are not illustrated.
