Summary
Elegies on and portraits of the Doges of Venice, beginning with Paolo Lucio Anafesto (inaugurated 697) and ending with Domenico Contarini (inaugurated 1659).
Binding
19th-century blind- and gilt-tooled brown calf (Russia) over paper boards (32.5 x 23 cm), with the gilt crest of Marquess of Blandford. Edges gilt and gauffered. Note on fly leaf claims a Roger Payne binding, but incorrect.
