Notes: 

Alphabet, syllabariium, invocation, and Lord's Prayer, printed on paper, probably in England.
Covered with horn and framed in silver, with an engraved design showing a bird on a branch, probably Dutch or Flemish of the late 17th century. A similar one with intials and date "H.C. 1682" was sold at Sotheby's in 1929, once owned by Mr. F. Bemis of Boston. (The printing on the latter is in Gothic type).
