Poem, named for 2 railroad stations in Michigan. Original sent to Mr. Underwood, General Manager of the railroad, written by Kipling on the back of his photograph.
Published in a broadside advertising sheet issued Sept. 21, 1923, by Doubleday, Page & Co., under the general caption "The Book leaf."
First printing of a six-line humorous poem. It was written on the back of a photograph sent by Kipling to F.D. Underwood, who as president of the Erie railroad had named two stations in Michigan "Rudyard" and "Kipling". The poem refers to these stations.
