Notes
This work is said to have been written by Luca Ombrosi. It was published for the first time in 1886 by Filippo Orlando and Giuseppe Baccini as a second volume to Bibliotechina Grassoccia which they edited. The original is a part of a manuscript entitled "Storia della nobile e reale casa de 'Medici," located in the Biblioteca moreniana of Florence. Cf. p. 29-30.
