At the second reading of the bill to repeal the stamp act, March 11, 1766, it was passed by the Lords, 105 to 71. This protest was prepared by Lord Lyttelton and signed by 33 members of the minority.
First issue, having the words "stamp act" on t.p. in small capitals, and without Die Mercurii, 11 ̊Martii 1766, at head of p. 3.
