"The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York to all persons to whom these presents may come greeting be it known that Tennessee Williams has been awarded The Pulitzer Prize in Letters for "A Streetcar Named Desire"... In witness whereof we have caused this certificate to be signed by the president...and our corporate seal to be hereto affixed...on the first day of June in the year of our lord one thousand nine hundred and forty eight."
