A circular cartouche displaying two coats of arms occupies the center bottom of the round panel. The red and blue arms are set into is an inscription plate in the lowest part of the panel. Above is a dramatic landscape populated by a diverse selection of saints. A sky filled with clusters of blue-grey clouds provides a backdrop for three devotional images. The Crucifixion in the center is flanked by St. Andrew with his X-shaped cross and the Virgin on the Crescent (Apocalypse 12:2 “a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars"). All three are outlined by radiant yellow mandorlas. In the middle level is St. Francis holding a Patriarchal Cross with a monastery in the distance. These buildings may be a reference to Münsterlingen mentioned in the dedicatory inscription. Below the cross is an unidentified female saint with a candle and to the right St. Sebastian tied to a tree and pierced with arrows. The image to the far right, compromised by mending leads, has not been identified.
