Arms of Zurich with a Lion Supporter
Red, green, blue, yellow, and purple pot metal and uncolored glass with vitreous paint and silver stain. Green and blue enamel helps define the fruit above the arches and the imperial crown and orb. The body of the lion is rendered with subtle washes and varying modulation in stick work and trace. Stick work also produces the damask surface of the shield.

Summary
The panel is the left half of a display of the Arms of Zurich. Silhouetted against a white background, a lion raises the Zurich banner. To his right, a shield with the Zurich arms is surmounted by a shield with the arms of the Holy Roman Empire. The lion stands on a pale-yellow platform framed by a Renaissance arcade of red columns and pilasters surmounted by red and green capitals. Above, a red entablature is adorned with a cluster of fruit.
