Subjects are Charles I, King of Great Britain (1600-1649), and Henrietta Maria, of France, Queen Consort (1609-1669). In a gold locket frame with arabesque foliage on black enamel ground, by Jacques Toutin (1578-1644).

Inscription: 
The painting of the king is signed at the left with a monogram.
