Ms. leaves from a Qurʼan, written and decorated in the late 15th or 16th century, probably in the Maghrib.
Text: sura 28, al-Qaṣaṣ (the Story), verses 71-76.
Decoration: brown ink with vocalizations, including sukūns and tashdīds, in dull red and blue; each verse is followed by a large gold-bordered disk inscribed with the word āya in gold on a pale reddish brown ground; at a later time one of these disks was replaced with the letter hāʼ; the same letter in the form of a gold half-palmette occurs after verse 75; large marginal ornament on fol. 2v.
