17th-century red morocco over wooden boards; spine decorated with French pointillé tooling; previously with a late 10th-century English Christ in Majesty ivory plaque set on front cover; it was removed Nov. 13, 1973 and mounted separately as Pierpont Morgan Library MS M.319a.
Purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) in 1905.
