17th-century Italian brown morocco, elaborately gold tooled with coat of arms, crowned, with S.P.Q.R. on upper cover at center; on lower cover center a shield bearing a kerchiefed Roman head blowing a flower out of his mouth. Traces of 2 leather ties. According to note in Wightman files,
