Original 17th-century traditional Armenian brown blind-tooled calf; on the front, inside a rectangular floral border, Christ on the Cross; on the back, the Virgin standing on a crescent moon; cotton or linen tabby-weave doublures with multicolored floral designs; probably made in New Julfa, Ịsfahān, Iran.

H.H. Torakyan, whose name is inscribed, along with the date, Dec. 20, 1903, on fol. 116.
Notes: 

Ms. written and illuminated in Armenia in the seventeenth century.
Decoration: manuscript is written in black ink, and some opening lines are are written in gold or blue uncials; 1 large decorated head piece, 5 zoomorphic initials, 3 illuminated initials, and 12 floral ornaments in the borders.
Collation is I¹⁰, II¹²-X¹²--Cf. Seventeenth report to the Fellows of the Pierpont Morgan Library, 1972-1974.
