Created in 1469 for Antonello Petrucci (d. 1487), who was secretary and prime minister of Ferdinand I, King of Naples; Francesco Catalano of Messina (1496; inscription on back flyleaf); Andrea Matteo III, duke of Acquaviva and prince of Atri (arms added to titlepage); purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) from Gruel in 1910; J.P. Morgan (1867-1943).
