Said to have belonged to Galeazzo II Visconti (the original arms on fol. 1 effaced, although an initial G and two supporting red-collared leopards survive); initials LB in two roundels on fol. 1; Bernardino Barbo (ca. 1477, son of Francesco di Pietro Barbo; ownership note on fol. 64v over and erased colophon); Giovanni Hellman of Venice; donated by Hellman in the mid eighteenth century to Emilio de Tipaldo of Venice; A. Firmin-Didot (Catalogue des livres précieux, 1881, p. 61-63); old library number G.4 on fol. 65; purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) from Leo S. Olschki in 1912; J.P. Morgan (1867-1943).
