Collection of Cid Corman autograph and typed letters signed : primarily Ypsilanti, Mich., to John [Ciardi], 1946-1950.

Collection consists of twenty-three letters written by Cid Corman to John Ciardi, as well as one autograph draft of a letter recommending Corman for a Rhodes Scholarship and a typed offprint of The Bridge (vol. 3, no. 8, Feb. 1, 1948), containing Corman's "Nightmares and Chariots.". Letters discuss Corman's and Ciardi's work in detail, Corman's academic work and plans for the future, and difficulties in getting his work published in literary magazines.
