Consists of two documents: a manuscript copy of her original will, written on Feb. 17, 1855 and witnessed by Patrick Brontë and Martha Brown; and a printed form with manuscript additions, written on Apr. 18, 1855, declaring the validity of her will and naming Arthur Bell Nicholls as the executor. The printed form is signed by "Wm. Hudson" and "Josh. Buckle," deputy registrars for the "Exchequer and Prerogative Court of ... York."
