Summary
Speaking of the illness and recovery of Col. Morris; delighting in the capture of Lord Cornwallis; praising Nathanael Greene; mentioning the Count de Grasse; commenting on his move to Willisses Creek: "I was drove by the Enemy to this place; from what you told me, and our Army not being compleat I moved in Time many of my Effects, that put it in my Power to secure the rest where danger pressed and I saved every thing that was moveable, except 450 Barrels flour which was burnt in my Mills, 2 slaves who joind [Benedict?] Arnold and are dead, [and] 4 now in New York, which I have sent for."
