Summary
Expressing his relief at her "voyage being delayed during these perilous times;" saying "I suspect Congress will pass an act empowering the President to continue the embargo, and to prohibit all exports & imports, as he may judge advisable; and should a power be intrusted to the President I make no doubt he will use it to comply with Buonaparte's wishes - A few days will probably decide whether this supposition of mine be well founded;" relating news of a visit from her brother and his wife and their son; sending his regards to her husband .
