Concerning variant readings from a manuscript to which Merula had referred in his Cosmographia (published in 1605), which he would like to incorporate in a new edition of Britannia; saying that he has written to the individual that Merula had identified as the owner of the manuscript, Marcus Welser, and learned from him that in fact Merula currently has the relevant manuscript; asking if Merula could send him the variant readings.
