Summary
An unsent draft of Byron's reply to an article about him by [Robert] Southey in The Courier. Discussing Percy Bysshe Shelley's addition of "Atheist" after his name "in some album in Switzerland"; addressing Southey's characterization of Byron as the leader of the "Satanic School" of poetry; calling on Southey to "settle our little affairs without troubling the public further ... I am as tired of this war of words as he can be -- and shall be happy to reduce it to a more tangible decision -- when -- where -- and how he pleases."
