Acquired as part of a large collection of letters addressed to William Angus Knight, Chair of Moral Philosophy at the University of St. Andrews and Wordsworth scholar. Items in the collection have been individually accessioned and cataloged.
Written on a note card engraved "St. John's Lodge, / Regent's Park."
The note is undated, however, it appears to be in reference to calls Bute agreed to go on with Knight in London during the month of June, 1893 and related to the union of Dundee College with St. Andrews. See MA 9171.3, MA 9171.4 and MA 9171.5.
