Summary
Writing "Do you know that except from your Mother and the good family, my existence or non-existence is now of as little importance to that Great World I lately left, as the satelites of the Georgium Sidus is to a parcel of your Ditchers"; expressing how he lives his life modestly and appreciates his friendship with Mrs. Dunlop; adding that Mrs. Dunlop will not entirely enter into his motives of his conduct so he kept aloof from the affair altogether; stating that he will be in Glasgow next week and if he is at home, he would like to see him.
