A treatise on church government, refuting the heresies of Beza and Calvin. In six books: (1) The first five ages of the world, with the "memorable things therein conteyned;" (2) "Of Ciuill authoritie before the Incarnation of Christ;" (3) "Of Ecclesiasticall authoritie before ye Incarnation of Christ;" (4) "Of Ciuill and Ecclesiasticll authoritie after ye Incarnation of Christ; & before his passion;" (5) "Of Ecclesiasticall authoritie by diuine institution after the resurrection & ascension of Christ;" (6) "The Apostolicall authoritie giuen to the Apostles for ye gouer[n]m[en]t of ye Church dyed not w[i]th them, but was communicated by them [...] to be continued afterwardes for euer in other Bps."
