Summary
Concerning his rights as an author to this 'third nights;' saying he is going to Richmond to look for a house on the Common; telling him "...there will certainly be a Command for tomorrow, & I find that Mr. L. thinks I ought to wave the ninth night. I am of a very different opinion. Your Situation is rather delicate; but I must beg you not to sacrifice the right of your partner Colman to the will of your partner Lacy. There is no right more firmly established than that of an Author to his third nights, and I am determined to assert it."
