Summary
Declining an invitation to dinner, as he is "forbidden any kind of gatherings", but adding that should "the Bishop of St. Albans, or indeed any other of your company" find a moment to come and see him, he would "be delighted", and stating that, "as Dickinson has hurt his foot again and failed me", he has a room available should any "Bishop or other" be lacking quarters; noting that "Macaulay says that whenever Lord Castlemaine tried to do business with Pope Innocent IX, the Pope was always siezed with an opportune coughing fit", and that "Dr. Levitt recommends a similar course to me on the morning of the Peace of Wedmore."
