Acknowledging letter of October 13 received this day; expressing concern at the contents of that letter, namely that there is no prospect of John and Lady Wentworth returning to England this year and that Charles is worried over the impact of the harsh Nova Scotian winter on his mother's health; expressing sympathy at this worry and advising trust in Providence that Charles will see his mother again in spring; sending the good wishes of Madame de St. Laurent to Charles and his parents.
