Summary
Acknowledging Wentworth's "letter of this day"; stating he has enclosed the "General Order to be given out immediately on the subject of your letter"; requesting Wentworth "to fill up the date of the commissions of the two Officers and then to forward the same to the Deputy adjutant General, who will give it out directly"; taking "this opportunity of privately hinting to your Excellency that it wou'd be extremely agreeable to me that the same arrangement shou'd be made in favor of Lieutnt. Campbell, as has been in favor of Lieutnt Fitzsimmons, he also wishing to retire, from the same motives, and on the same terms previous to his entering the Royal Fuziliers [sic]."
