Responding to a letter from April 16th and answering two questions posed by Wagenknecht, the first with her assurance that the "story about Mae Marsh and D.W. Griffith as described in your third paragraph is absolutely true", and the second with her statement that Florence LaBadie was a close friend of the family and "travelled with my mother and looked after her."; remarking that he and his wife will be kept busy by the arrival of two grandchildren in one year, and asking for his son Robert's current address in Springfield, Illinois; writing that she was "interested" in his comment on Lillian (Gish's) play, which he saw when it opened in Boston, and expressing her sorrow at the death of Gish's sister Dorothy in June, observing that "Lillian and Dorothy were always much closer than most sisters, so I know how difficult it will be for Lillian to adjust to this loss."; adding that Buddy Rogers stays busy playing golf and making personal appearances charities; adding in a postscript that the newspapers reported that Florence LaBadie was killed in automobile accident some time ago.
