Second envelope reads: RPJ to JI-- in New York, Lake of the Woods, Berkeley, and London / July 4, 1972-Sept. 5, 1972, and on into October to December / During this period Charlotte Fey was going through the brutal break-up of her marriage and abandonment by her husband while at the Lake, and Bruce Chatwin was my guest at the cabin, trying to write his first book. / Meanwhile, Ismail was making his first film, "Mahatma and the Mad Boy" in Bombay.
