Williams's Maids of Honour: A Tale of the Court of George I (Henry Colburn, 1845) was written pseudonymously as Frank Ranelagh and published in three volumes. The book's dedication (pp. iii-vi) (dated 1845 March 24) is to Bulwer Lytton.
